Questions

Frequently asked.

How much does it cost to ship a car?

Pricing depends on the route, distance, vehicle size, transport type (open or enclosed), and how soon you need it. Request a free quote and you'll get an all-in price with no hidden fees.

How long does auto transport take?

Most domestic shipments take 1 to 7 days in transit depending on distance. Cross-country routes typically run 5 to 7 days, while regional moves can complete in 1 to 3 days.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

Every carrier we dispatch is federally licensed and carries active cargo insurance. We provide the carrier's certificate of insurance on request before pickup.

Do I need to be present for pickup and delivery?

You or an authorized representative must be present at both pickup and delivery to inspect the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading. We coordinate timing with you and the driver in advance.

Can you ship a non-running or modified vehicle?

Yes. Inoperable, lowered, lifted, or oversized vehicles can be shipped with the right equipment. Let us know the condition at booking so we assign a suitable carrier — additional fees may apply.

Do you require a deposit?

No upfront deposit is required to book. The reservation deposit is charged once a carrier is assigned, and the remaining balance is paid to the carrier on delivery.

What areas do you service?

Central Carriers arranges vehicle transport across all 50 U.S. states, including coast-to-coast, regional, and door-to-door routes.
